All Orders
For ALL international (non-UK) orders please check Royal Mail’s International Bulletin before ordering to ensure we can ship to you. We use Royal Mail for most services, who will hand parcels to your national postal carrier. Super Bundles or other orders weighing over 2kg are sent with UPS courier (or occasionally an alternative such as Parcel Force, DHL or DPD where UPS cannot deliver to your door).
European Orders (including the Republic of Ireland)
Customs & Excise, Tax and Shipping Handling Charges:
We have joined the EU’s International One Stop Shop (IOSS) system which allows us to pre-pay your local taxes (such as Value-Added Tax / VAT) through an intermediary. Please ensure you DO NOT use Apple Pay or Google Pay for orders from the EU (we are working out how to hide this option) as this will prevent localised tax calculation. By pre-paying taxes there should be no import duties or brokerage fees charged and your parcel should be able to flow relatively seamlessly through the customs process. We are applying a sticker showing pre-payment through IOSS to draw attention to this fact.
Should you be contacted by your postal service or courier, or Customs & Excise, please cooperate with them and provide any requested information but highlight that tax has been prepaid through IOSS. Failure to provide requested information will usually result in the return of your parcel to us.
There is a limit of €150 (about £135 GBP) for IOSS. Please ensure your order is below this value (by splitting it as appropriate) or we are unable to pre-pay taxes. In such cases taxes will be charged at the point of delivery and a brokerage fee is usually charged by the courier. This will be the responsibility of the customer.
Businesses within the EU who are tax registered – please provide a valid tax reference to allow tax to be deducted rather than charged through IOSS. You will be charged taxes on delivery but should be able to reclaim or offset these in the usual way in your country, which is not possible with IOSS tax pre-payment. The tax reclaimable is usually more than the brokerage fees involved to make this the preferable option.
International Orders (outside Europe)
Customs & Excise, Tax and Shipping Handling Charges: printed items are often exempt from taxes but, unfortunately, this varies by country and interpretation of rules by Customs agents in your country. Unfortunately we cannot know all rules and therefore cannot advise you on these.
For clarity, if these charges are applied it is at the point of delivery / collection and are the responsibility of the customer. No charges have been paid in the UK by Student Midwife Studygram other than the shipping fee to the shipping or courier company.
The USA
TARIFFS: These are entirely the responsibility of the customer
Royal Mail parcels to the USA typically take 7 – 14 days from the date of despatch. UPS shipping is faster.
As a result of some parcels going missing in transit to the USA we currently only offer Tracked Shipping services to the USA which we unfortunately have to reflect in our shipping pricing. For more information see our delivery page.
Super Bundles, parcels over £100 in value or those which exceed 2kg in shipping weight are being sent to the USA by UPS courier service which typically takes less than 5 working days from the date of despatch.
On any order to the USA you can choose to upgrade to UPS courier service which typically takes less than 5 working days from despatch.
